Hello!
I'm afraid my titles are starting to drop off on the creativity spectrum. I've been at this for a while! Seriously though, every week feels like one day at this point. Which basically means I have about a week left... so that's weird.
I honestly have no clue what to write about this week. We were so crazy busy and taught more lessons than we have in this area in a long time. We have six people on date to be baptized, and we're already booked solid for the next week. But unless you all want the teaching record run-down of how every lesson went, there's not a ton to talk about.
One really cool lesson we had was with Reina, the investigator who calls us to set up appointments (aka GOLDEN). We taught the end of the Plan of Salvation lesson, the Gospel of Jesus Christ lesson, and a lot about baptism all in the same lesson because she just soaks everything up. We always ask if she has any questions and she just says, "no, no hermanas! Everything is crystal clear! What else can you tell me??" She is AMAZING! The Spirit is always so strong when we're with her. We set a baptism date with her and she said, "You're going to help me prepare for it though, right?? You're not going to leave me?" It was so cute :) She asked when we go home though.... that was rough. We told her (my companion goes home the transfer after me), and she said, "Nooo, why are you abandoning me??" She was kind of joking, but still. It hit me that this is going to end in the way too near future. I told her that we will definitely keep in touch and that I'll come back to see her as soon as I can and she seemed satisfied with that.
We also had a movie night this week for the branch/investigators and we watched The Testaments. It went really well! We had an investigator family come which was a miracle. I made Jodi's cookies, 85 of them to be exact, and between the 25 people who were at the movie night, they were completely gone by the end. I only had 1! So shout out to Jodi and her amazing cookies!
Other than that, the weather has just been delightful, the mosquitoes are finally starting to die, the branch numbers are increasing so much right now, and this is the last week of the transfer. The time is racing by and I'm just trying to enjoy every second that I have. I love you all so much! Have the best week ever!
